Moss from Reggio Emilla, Italy will be showcasing the new Digitube digital transfer machine at the NPE 2012 International Plastics Exhibition in Orlando, USA from 1st April to 5th April.
Digitube digital transfer machines are a new range of plastic tube decoration systems from Moss that employ a new transfer technology for decorating containers with high quality images.
The images are pre-printed on a Xeikon printer at 1200dpi on rolled up silicon paper. The rolls are then used by the Moss Digitube machine to transfer the high quality images onto the container’s plastic substrate using a combination of heat, pressure and perfect synchronisation.
A lacquering device and optional UV drying feature improves the scratching resistance and appeal for the final product.
The Digitube digital transfer machine is particularly ideal for small print runs since offset plates and/or silk screens are not required, minimising production costs.
Digitube digital transfer machines offer manufacturers several benefits including fast turnaround, production flexibility and low setup costs.
Moss is represented in Oceania by HBM Packaging & Plastics Technologies .
