World-leading plastics processing machinery specialist, Krauss Maffei of Munich, Germany will showcase a range of injection moulding technologies featuring a new energy efficient module at the FAKUMA exhibition in October.
The FAKUMA exhibition is scheduled to be held from October 18 to October 22 later this year and is a major event in the European plastics industry, presenting world class, comprehensive offerings covering all aspects of injection moulding.
Krauss Maffei’s latest range of injection moulding machines features a new energy efficient module called BluePower that can save as much as 50% on energy consumption.
The BluePower approach starts with systematically analysing every aspect of a specific production situation, data from which is used by Krauss Maffei to develop a customised solution to boost the energy efficiency of their machinery.
According to Dr Karlheinz Bourdon, Managing Director of the Injection Moulding Division, the custom approach enables them to identify savings potential very accurately so as to achieve the maximum cut in consumption, even as much as 50%.
A Krauss Maffei AX350-1400 injection moulding machine, the largest in the ‘all electric’ range of 12 models will be on display producing technical components typical of those found in the automotive industry. An integrated LR-S 150 linear robot will demould the parts and place them on a conveyor belt.
The BluePower barrel insulation will minimise energy loss and visitors will be able to see how the extensive functions of the BluePower energy analysis enable operating staff to optimise the machine settings in order to maximise energy savings.
Krauss Maffei will be exhibiting seven injection moulding systems across the AX, CX and EX models at their booth and in collaboration with their technology partners.
Krauss Maffei is represented in Oceania by HBM Packaging & Plastics Technologies .
