World-leading plastics processing machinery specialist Krauss Maffei of Munich, Germany presents a new animated simulation tool designed to assist customers with visualising complex automation processes.
The new simulation tool helps customers decide which solution to use when using different processes. The tool also offers numerous advantages when commissioning a production line, as it can be used in the preliminary stages to check the existing processes between machine and automation and simulate expansion options. The simulation is available as an animated, interactive simulation in the form of a PDF file.
Frank Peters, Vice President of Sales at Krauss Maffei explains the new tool allows users to visualise not only complete production processes with injection moulding machine and automation, but also individual processes such as part de-moulding realistically on a computer.
Krauss Maffei has also made advancements on their MC6 control system aimed to simplify the operation of automated production cells. The WizardX is a graphical programming wizard that allow for the quick and error-free programming of linear robots used in the injection moulding area. The VisuX is an interface that provides operators with all the necessary information about industrial robots such as program selection, counter, times or current axis position, allowing operators to diagnose the current manufacturing process at any time and make necessary adjustments.
Peters adds that enhancements to the MC6 control system make it so intuitive users can work faster and more efficiently than ever before.
