Coca Cola Amatil chooses OCME packers for beverage lines in Australia & New Zealand

Packaging systems
OCME S.r.l. from Parma Italy, in collaboration with their local partner HBM Packaging Technologies, reported that they have sold several high speed packaging systems to Coca Cola Amatil for their bottling sites in Australia and New Zealand. The equipment ordered includes three wraparound case packers and one shrinkwrapper.

Coca Cola Amatil Richlands, Qld has purchased an Altair N40 machine for a PET line, for case packing at outputs up to 30cpm. This complements an existing OCME Vega N70/2 shrinkwrapper and Altair N50 case packer on their water line.

Pleased with the performance of their existing Vega S50 shrinkwrapper, Coca Cola Amatil Northmead, NSW has purchased and is currently commissioning a Vega N80 V machine for cans of soft drink. The cans are packed in trays with film overwrap at speeds up to 80cpm, making it the first of the high speed series Vegas operating in Australia.

Installation has just commenced on a new Altair N40 wraparound case packer for PET and glass bottles at Coca Cola Amatil, Auckland. Speeds of up to 30cpm will be reached during the packing of loose bottles and multi-packs into cases.

Coca Cola Amatil Bayswater, Victoria has recently purchased an Altair X30 packer. Due to be delivered at the end of 2007, the wraparound case packer will handle PET and glass bottles at an output of 30cpm.

These recent sales bring the number of OCME systems located in Oceania to over 70, with installations throughout various industries such as beverage, food, tissue and personal care.

Other state-of-the-art packaging technologies available from OCME include:

  • Depalletisers (high level and low level)
  • Volumetric and level fillers
  • Roll fed labellers
  • Traditional and robotic palletisers
  • Automatic guided vehicles
OCME S.r.l. is represented in Oceania by HBM Packaging Technologies .
