One of San Diego’s oldest craft brewers, Karl Strauss recently expanded their brewery in response to increased local demand as well as to facilitate plans to distribute their beer products into Northern California. The company increased their production capacity by 31% by adding new equipment and increasing their production workforce.
The CoMac keg line supplied to Karl Strauss has a speed of 60kph and consists of a four head keg washer/filler, three cleaning solution tanks (caustic/acid, hot water and mixed water), inlet and outlet conveyors, sliding chute, and filters and reducers.
CoMac’s range of kegging equipment includes:
- For microbreweries, a semi-automatic single head or twin head washing/filling unit with integrated CIP tanks
- For medium outputs, in-line five or six head machines
- Fully automatic combination keg de- and re-palletisers up to 1200 kph
- Flash pasteuriser with inverter controls, keg tilting machine, weighing units, keg leakage control units, ink jet coding station, keg labelling, automatic spear tightening, on-line label printing etc.
