End load cartoners from Bradman Lake Group (BLG) of Suffolk, UK are in demand from several well-known tea manufacturers around the world, helping the company gain extensive experience in tea packaging machinery.
In March, an established UK tea blender and manufacturer purchased an SL904 end load cartoner to pack their supermarket branded round tea bags. The machine was integrated into the packing line that contained two Bradman Lake FT120 flow wrappers. A unique product collator incorporated into the machine allowed direct loading of single or double layers of flow wrapped tea bags.
An SL902 end load cartoner was supplied to a Russian tea manufacturer who was packaging bags of tea into straight or reverse tuck-in flap style end load cartons. The machine was integrated with a ‘Cascade Lite’ automatic bag loading system so it could automatically load bags directly into the pocketed product in-feed conveyor.
Two SL902 end load cartoners were installed in the United Arab Emirates for a loose tea manufacturer. The machines were designed to handle reverse and straight tuck-in flap style end load cartons with one of the units having the flexibility to close tuck style or hot melt glue the end flap closures.
Bradman Lake recently installed three SL902 end load cartoners for Russian tea manufacturers with the machines helping to reduce the amount of manual labour required in the packaging operation as well as overall costs.
It is estimated that more than 80% of all leaf tea products in Russia are now packed on Bradman Lake machinery.
