World-leading stretch blow moulding machines specialist SIPA of Veneto, Italy has recently installed a complete beverage line for Big 8 Beverages of Canada.
SIPA also assisted in the design of Big 8’s new PET preform and spring water bottle design unit for their 500ml and 1-litre PET bottle sizes.
Based in Nova Scotia, Canada, Big 8 Beverages is a leading manufacturer of high quality spring water and soft drinks, and also export their beverages all around the world.
SIPA installed a SincroBloc including an integrated SFR 6 EVO rotary stretch blow moulding unit and a Stillfill S P gravity filler. The line runs at 12,000 bph when producing and filling 500ml PET bottles.
A compact integrated system for high speed blowing, filling and capping operations, SincroBloc is the ideal solution for operations that demand a reduced footprint. It can handle a range of bottles, necks and cap sizes, and requires only one person to operate, providing significant savings in labour cost.
SIPA's Denis Marcon explained that Big 8 liked the idea of getting everything it needed for its new production system from a single source. SIPA was able to configure the system to run at high speeds producing high quality bottles. The SFR 6 EVO impressed with its speed, compact design, easy accessibility and short changeover times.
SIPA is represented in Oceania by HBM Packaging & Plastics Technologies .
