THE NSW Dangerous Goods Act of 1975 has been repealed and an amendment to the NSW OH&S Act has been made to incorporate Dangerous Goods.

From late 2005, employers now have an obligation to provide "information instruction and training" to employees who may face risk from dangerous goods. WorkCover requires that employers have documented evidence that the training has been provided which has to be kept for 5 years.

Chemical System Consulting (CSC) is a Consulting member of the Australasian Institute of Dangerous Goods Consultants (AIDGC) - a "peak body" recognised by WorkCover for the storage and handling of dangerous goods.

CSC specialises in dangerous goods training. CSC's template training is designed to cover all of WorkCover's outcomes for the training of employees at risk from dangerous goods.

CSC's template training is then tailored to be site specific - focusing on the dangerous goods and working conditions of each employer. This ensures that the employer's obligations under the amended Act have been met.

CSC provides a range of dangerous goods training programmes for employers to meet their obligations under the relevant state and federal legislations. They include chemical storage and handling, dangerous goods and hazardous substances, and vehicle loading and transport of dangerous goods.
