One of the risks operators face when working with or around aqua ammonia is inhalation. The vapour is toxic and irritating to the nose, eyes, throat, and skin. Even at concentrations below 19%, operators need to use caution and choose their aqua ammonia injectors carefully.
To minimize the risk that operators face, Saf-T-Flo has developed a new retractable aqua ammonia injector made entirely from stainless steel.
The packing nut and solution tube adaptor are stainless steel. The packing nut of this injector contains a 300 series o-ring that seals tightly against the outside diameter of the solution tube.
A stainless steel spring loaded ball check valve is welded to the Schedule 80 stainless steel solution tube. Saf-T-Seal, an elastomeric tip created to resist tip clogging and premature mixing, is also a standard feature of this aqua ammonia injector.
Other features include a stainless steel ball valve (Corp. Stop), stainless steel solution tube adaptor & packing nut, 300 series EPDM O-Ring gasket, stainless steel restraint hook & limit chain (rated 150 psi), schedule 80 stainless steel solution tube, stainless steel spring loaded ball check valve, and conveniently a Saf-T-Seal Tip (EPDM).
