Grimwood Heating Pty Ltd has extended their range of DIY elements to include higher operating temperature designs.
These higher operating temperatures are made possible by the use of Nicrofer 7216 high temperature alloy materials from ThyssenKrupp VDM.
Nicrofer 7216 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy characterised by:
· good resistance to oxidation, carburisation and nitridation;
· good resistance to stress corrosion cracking, at both room and elevated temperature;
· good resistance to dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride;
· good mechanical properties at sub-zero, room and elevated temperatures.
DIY elements are annealed straight length elements designed for on-site bending and are ideal for custom built work, short runs and repairs to existing equipment. They are available with brazed on bushes, or users can elect to use separate brass compression bushes.
Grimwood Managing Director, Brian Walkington, said, "We will continue to extend the product range. This will provide customers with the equipment that they need, to do the things they need to do."
