Grimwood Heating is reversing the trend in Australian manufacturing by exporting quality Australian made elements to the European Union.
Grimwood are required to place a mandatory conformance mark to signify that the products comply with all appropriate European standards and regulations.
The general trend in Australian manufacturing has seen local suppliers pushed aside by cheap imports from low cost countries.
The market has driven this cost down mentality in a rush to increase short term margins by reducing cost with no regard for quality, lead time and after sales service.
However, customers in the EU have been flocking to Grimwood for their quality, reliability, engineering support and short lead times.
Grimwood met or exceeded all the requirements for applying the CE Mark on its existing range of Australian made bolt-on and screw-in immersion elements without modification or amendment.
Grimwood Managing Director, Brian Walkington said “This result demonstrates the value of our strategy of short lead time, high quality and reliable service. Grimwood customers simply expect to put it in, turn it on and it works!”
