Grimwood Heating has delivered seven IECEx hazardous area heaters to Woodside Energy through its WA Distributor.
The IECEx hazardous area heaters are for domestic hot water in the living quarters on the North Rankin platform.
The North Rankin platform is the hub of the Woodside-operated North West Shelf Venture gas and condensate production operations. The North Rankin platform is a large capacity gas production platform and accommodates 122 people.
The North Rankin platform is linked to the Goodwyn platform 23km south-east and the floating production storage and offloading vessel, Cossack Pioneer, 30km east. North Rankin supplies gas and condensate to the venture's onshore gas plant near Karratha through two subsea pipelines.
