Hall Effect current sensors include Open Loop and Closed Loop types. Open Loop current sensors with output voltage proportional to the primary current are ideal in many applications but may not reach the linearity and gain requirements of some applications.
Closed Loop current sensors offer higher accuracy by correcting the linearity and gain errors through a negative feedback, with the output current an exact representation of the primary current scaled by the number of turns in the secondary coil.
