Verderflex supplied their peristaltic tube pumps to a leading multinational electronics company for their wastewater treatment facilities.

The company had been using metering pumps for dosing aluminium sulphate in their wastewater treatment facilities for several years. However, they faced several problems including inconsistent dosing of aluminium sulphate when tank levels were low; unscheduled maintenance periods; and high maintenance costs.

After consultation with the customer and following site visits, Verderflex supplied eight of their Rapide R2S peristaltic tube pumps to replace the existing metering pumps.

Currently operating at flow rates ranging from 78ml/min to 1080ml/min with discharge pressures up to 1.5 bar, the peristaltic pumps from Verderflex are delivering several benefits to the client.

The end user now experiences predictable maintenance patterns, whereby the service period has been increased from 600 hours to 1000 hours. This has reduced the process downtime that was experienced previously with the metering pumps and has also brought a significant reduction in the maintenance costs.

The Verderflex Sales Manager commented the customer was very happy with the simplistic operation and maintenance of the pumps. The pump’s tube can be changed easily using the ski-boot clamp of the Rapide R2S, compared to the labour heavy and complicated maintenance of the metering pumps.

Verderflex pumps are available from Global Pumps .
