Industrial media converter

KORENIX Technology, represented in Australia by Global Automation , has released the JetCon industrial serial/ethernet/fibre media converter. It converts the signals without any modification to the connected PC's hardware or software.

Four models are available: the JetCon 2301e Ethernet-to-fibre Converter, the JetCon 2101: RS-232 to RS-422/485 converter, the JetCon 2101i: RS-232 to RS-422/485 isolated converter and the JetCon 2101ir RS-422/485 isolated repeater.

JetCon 2301 is an Ethernet-to-fibre converter with one SC-type connector. When connected to fibre, JetCon 2301 can transmit up to 3 km with single mode, and 2km with multi mode, offering reliable data transmission from Ethernet devices. The built-in Link Lose Forwarding technology and fault relay output promptly alert users if port breaks or power failures. The robust aluminum case offers an IP30 standard protection plus a dual-redundant power inputs with reverse polarity protection.

The JetCon 2101/2101i/2101ir allows users to overcome the limitations of RS-232 protocol, including speed, range and networking capabilities, by using different voltage lines for data and control signals. The JetCon 2100 Series has the built-in AutoPro function, which can adjust JetCon's baud rate and data format for different devices in a RS-485 network.

AutoPro allows JetCon to be auto-configured to the same baud rate and data format in the entire RS-485 network.
