Botany Cranes, an established crane hire company expanded into the access equipment business by setting up Botany Access.

Operating out of its own premises in Botany, the access equipment company services the Sydney metropolitan and regional NSW markets with a fleet of over 300 machines. With Botany Cranes enjoying an affinity with Terex and Franna cranes, the reliance upon Genie Australia in the access equipment segment has been a natural evolution.

According to Justin Brownbill, Botany Access is still linked to Botany Cranes but operates independently, totally focused on access hire and 100% accountable for its performance.

Botany Access’ 300-machine fleet consists of scissor lifts of 19’ to 53’ and booms from 30’ to 135’ of all descriptions with the average age of the fleet being four to five years.

Staffed by a team of 20, Botany Access retains as much work as possible in-house with six technicians in the workshop eliminating any dependence on outside contractors.

Botany Access services a broad market segment with no geographical boundaries as the equipment can be shifted to the location required by the customer. Botany Access’ in-house transport fleet enables total control over delivery and fleet movements.

As part of fleet expansion, Botany Access recently acquired a third Genie GS-5390 RT scissor lift. The company is very satisfied with Genie’s product quality and service support, helping them provide their customers the assurance of quality access equipment.
