Gekko Systems  has completed the sale of its 100th InLine Leach Reactor (ILR) unit.

The sale was completed by the company’s South American team, notching up an impressive milestone for intensive cyanidation as well as marking Gekko’s entry into Brazil.

Mineracao Caraiba’s Nova Xavantina project took delivery of the unit in October 2011. The ILR unit was pre-commissioned at Gekko’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility earlier that month.

Gekko’s Brazilian and Argentinian agent, Diego Mielke of Minetec worked hard with Nigel Grigg, Manager of Gekko’s South American office to conclude this significant transaction.

Gekko’s first Mexican ILR installation was recently commissioned at La Cienega, located in Durango, Mexico. Owned by Industrias Penoles, the La Cienega mine site is in the process of expanding capacity with the Model ILR150BA InLine Leach Reactor an important component of the project.

Key benefits of Gekko’s InLine Leach Reactor for the mining industry:

  • Highly efficient concentrate oxygenation system produces excellent results
  • More gold and silver recovery on fine and coarse mineral particles
  • Unit recovery and operations data easily accessed automatically
