The Canadian office of Gekko Systems
celebrated its 10th anniversary last year with additional capital sales and expansion of the technical, services and spares area.
The high quality technical service and spares support provided by Gekko’s Canadian office has received positive feedback from clients. Additionally, increased market awareness in the Americas, especially in Mexico of Gekko’s capabilities in the gold and silver sectors has resulted in an increased amount of installations.
Gekko has been able to develop a long term relationship with Fresnillo since the successful installation and operation of an ILR150BA at its La Cienega mine. The sale of an ILR2000BA to the Herradura mine, which is located in the State of Sonora in Mexico, is Gekko’s second installation in this region.
Gekko has also successfully commissioned a modular plant at the Alamos Gold Mulatos mine site. Gekko’s largest modular installation in the Americas (50tph), the plant incorporates the company’s area of expertise in the design, manufacture and application of equipment in the mineral processing field of gravity separation and treatment.
Market trends have shown that there is an increased emphasis on equipment that can improve energy efficiency. Gekko is positioned to be at the forefront of this industry trend, with its philosophy of providing environmentally improved and low-cost metallurgical solutions.
