Leading fluid sealing technology provider, Garlock Sealing Technologies , has announced the addition of a non-sparking conveyor roller bearing isolator to its machinery line up.
Directly addressing the replacement of plastic rubber seals that could lead to sparking or fire, the Klozure Guardian non-sparking conveyor roller bearing isolator was recently listed by the US Department of Labour Mine Safety and Health Administration as an innovative product within the MSHA accident prevention program.
The non-sparking design of the conveyor roller bearing isolator prevents the failure mode by virtue of its non-contacting labyrinth design with easy to install Cam-Lok o-rings.
The Klozure Guardian non-sparking conveyor roller bearing isolator features an IEEE 841-2001 IP56 rating, which ensures proper bearing protection by eliminating both dust and liquid from entering the bearing housing.
GUARDIAN bearing isolators are already used throughout the world in applications ranging from benign to extremely aggressive conditions. With the addition of this new product, Garlock Sealing Technologies fully expects users to begin converting from the older consumable and unstable products to the safer, longer lasting technology.
These non-sparking conveyor roller bearing isolators are available in sizes ranging from 0.875” to well over 30”, and split or solid, flanged and flangeless and even bearing pillow block configurations.
