Available from Garlock Sealing Technologies , GARFLEX 8100 expansion joints have robust and flexible nylon cord reinforcement. The moulded, spherical bellows design offers a burst pressure rating that is outstanding.
Turbulence within the expansion joint is reduced by way of the streamlines flowing arch design that facilitates a smooth and silent flow, meaning there is no need to fill the arch and restrict its movement.
To accommodate torsional misalignment, floating flanges can be rotated while the moulded spherical bellows are able to manage up to one inch of axial movement and transverse deflection.
The expansion joint’s tube is manufactured from nylon-reinforced nitrile and achieves high pressure ratings without sacrificing on flexibility. This material is also resistant to most hydrocarbons, oils and gasoline.
GARFLEX 8100 expansion joints are covered with a homogeneous layer of neoprene that is coated with a protectant to withstand weathering and ozone. The zinc-coated ductile iron flanges are corrosion resistant.
