The C-Series claw pumps and compressors, available from Elmo Rietschle, a division of Gardner Denver Australia , can generate contact-free vacuum or compressed air efficiently and economically.

This is possible because of the principle of internal compression. The gas is pre-compressed within the compressing chamber and is then discharged. This leads to an evident energy saving compared to rotary lobe blower designs without internal compression.

Many applications traditionally employ oil-sealed rotary vanes or liquid ring pumps for rough vacuum needs such as 200 - 500 mbar (abs). Replacing with ZEPHYR VLR1000 can provide substantial savings in both power and maintenance costs with added benefit of ease of mind due to the simple installation and operation process.

  • The Elmo Rietschle C-VLR 1000 ZEPHYR is a powerful claw vacuum pump and offers a nominal suction flow up to 1200 m3/hr
  • High efficiency due to internal compression
  • 18.5kW motor, upto 40% savings in operating costs when compared with liquid ring pumps
  • Oil-free and frictionless compression
  • Bearings oil lubricated; no lubrication required at B-side
  • Low sound level 82/86 dB (A) at 50/60 Hz
  • Easy to Install, compact footprint
  • Low maintenance - only a small quantity gear oil change
  • No water requirements
  • No oil or water inside the process
  • No oil contaminating the exhaust gas

  • Central vacuum system
  • Environmental engineering
  • Medical industry
  • Paper and pulp industry
  • Pneumatic conveying
  • Woodworking industry
