Gamma Solutions has announced that it has added Motorola AP7131 wireless access points to its extensive range of wireless network equipment.
These wireless access points are described as the industry's first 802.11a/b/g/n adaptive services access points that are capable of delivering the performance, coverage, reliability and security required to enable a truly wireless enterprise.
They feature a tri-radio expandable design that provides:
- simultaneous support for three major networking functions
- high speed wireless data
- voice and video services for client access
- self healing mesh networking; and
- Wireless Intrusion Prevention System sensor functionality for around the clock protection for the network.
Gamma Solutions Account Manager Graham Denny explains that the Adaptive Services AP architecture featured in these wireless access points allows them to be used for two difference modes of operation.
"It can be used as either a stand alone AP or as a wireless controller adopted AP for centralised management of the network," he notes.
This ensures that when used as a standalone AP, AP7131 wireless access points can provide small to medium businesses with a consolidated wired and wireless networking infrastructure in a single device.
