Motorola MC65 mobile computers have been added to the extensive range of mobile data collection systems now available from Gamma Solutions .
Offering a drop spec of 1.8m and an IP64 rating, MC65 mobile computer terminals are built to withstand rugged working conditions. A patented Monocoque 'unibody' housing also greatly improves the structural stability of these devices.
These mobile computers weigh only 359g with battery installed, making them light and small enough to be comfortably used all day. The included 3600 mAh rechargeable lithium ion battery ensures eight hours of operating time between charges, or six hours of talk time.
In addition, when placed face down or after a predetermined amount of time MC65 mobile computers will go into sleep mode, giving the user up to 100 hours of standby time and eliminating the need to change the battery over at the end of each shift when the unit is not used regularly.
Commenting on the new rugged mobile computers, Gamma Solutions Northern Region Sales Manager Glenn Batten says that they will suit the needs of many of the company's customers.
"With a 3.2 megapixel camera and autofocus as well as a flash which can be controlled by the user. the MC65 is perfect for the mobile inspection worker as they are able to take all photos they need on the spot and email them to the relevant people rather than having to wait until they return to the office," he explains.
