Laser cutting systems feature expanded table capacity
LVD has expanded its Impuls line of CO2 laser cutting systems to provide large table capacity of 3m, allowing loading of several 3m x 1.5m sheets for processing and handling of oversized workpieces.

This provides increased capacity and productivity when processing heavy plate materials.
Three models of Impuls lasers - Impuls 6530, Impuls 8030 and Impuls 12530 - now feature this increased table size.
The Impuls 6530 handles workpieces up to 6.5m x 3m. The Impuls 8030 accommodates sheets up to 8m x 3m. The Impuls 12530, the largest capacity Impuls model, features a work area of 12.5m x 3m.
Available from GWB Machine Tools Pty Ltd , these large table lasers have the advantage of cutting oversized sheets as well as the ability to accommodate multiple plates, providing increased cutting time and less time spent on material loading and unloading.
Using larger materials sizes also improves sheets utilisation and nesting efficiency.
Impuls laser cutting systems allow the user to load/unload one table while the machine processes parts on the other table.
The Impuls 4030-R model allows users to load a 500mm x 4000mm diameter rotary while the machine processes flat plate or load the table while processing preformed parts up to 4000mm x 1000mm x 1000mm in size.
Impuls laser systems process flat plate up to 25mm mild steel. The machines also provide a fully programmable Z-axis with travel up to 280mm for use with the rotary axis and for processing pre-formed parts.
All Impuls lasers feature an advanced, fully integrated GE Fanuc control and laser package, giving the user full control over the cutting process with the most reliable laser technology.
This complete integration of the laser source, CNC control, ac digital motors and amplifiers offer a high degree of reliability, as well as superior processing speed.
LVD's Impuls laser systems are now available with the Fanuc 6kW laser resonator for increased processing power, particularly for fabricators who process thick materials.
The Fanuc 6kW laser has optimised beam quality and provides stable cutting of 32mm mild steel. The resonator features the latest radio frequency excitation technology.
The Fanuc CNC control guarantees perfect reproduction of the programmed contours even at sharp edges or high speed. A "feed forward" feature in the program allows the speed to be appropriately adjusted to the contour.
The laser power is matched to the vectorial speed to achieve a constant cut width and a small heat-affected zone.
