GS1 Recallnet Information Sessions in March

Supplier News

GS1 Australia  announces a new series of information sessions for GS1 Recallnet to help businesses transform their recall process.

Communicating timely and accurate information in the event of a product recall using slow, inefficient and costly faxes, emails and phone calls is no longer practical in the modern fast-paced world. GS1 Recallnet is the key to a more effective product recall management process.

GS1 Recallnet is an online portal designed to help businesses deliver (and receive) the right information to the right people at the right time. The food, grocery and liquor industry’s leading choice for recall and withdrawal notifications, GS1 Recallnet was developed in collaboration with Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC), major supermarket retailers and a range of food and grocery manufacturers and suppliers.

Following the recent success of GS1 Recallnet Information Sessions, GS1 Australia announces further sessions to be held in Melbourne and Sydney in March 2013.

Several experts and guest speakers will explain how GS1 Recallnet is transforming the recall notification process for the benefit of businesses, their trading partners, the food and grocery industry and consumers.

Melbourne Guest Speakers:

  • Mr Tim Blanchfield, Fonterra Brands Australia
  • Mr James Whittaker, Coles
  • Mr John Jamieson, ACCC
  • Mr Michael Barrett, GS1 Australia
Sydney Guest Speakers:

  • Ms Laura Altarac, COSTCO
