Visitors to the Impetus 2008 trade expo will have a chance to find out more about Distributor, Pacific Commerce’s GS1-certified middleware solution for GS1net data validation and upload.
Impetus 2008, a supply chain conference organised by GS1 Australia , will be held in October at the Sofitel, Melbourne. Pacific Commerce representatives will be available during the entire conference to answer questions regarding the GS1net and the National Product Catalogue (NPC) through to the specifics of how Distributor middleware can help with GS1net migration.
According to Steve Robb, General Manager, Pacific Commerce, Distributor helps companies from all Australian industry sectors upload vast amounts of validated product data to various industry catalogues such as the GS1net and National Product Catalogue. He added that no additional work is required to make the data ready for GS1net, as Distributor is a fully hosted and automated solution that integrates with existing business systems. Data double-handling is also eliminated as changes made to the product and pricing data in the ERP system are automatically validated and uploaded to update the GS1net data.
Furthermore, Robb said that Pacific Commerce employ a consultative and collaborative approach while implementing Distributor. This ensures that even those clients who are new to the concept of the GS1net understand the requirements of the industry catalogues and what is expected from their data to make it GS1net compliant.
