A new GS1 Australia case study demonstrates how Energizer Australia is using EDI and GS1net data synchronisation to deliver an accurate and efficient service for its trading partners.
A few years ago Energizer Australia was experiencing an increasing number of claims, missed order dates and inaccuracy of orders. The company needed better product data and a method to communicate it accurately and securely with its trading partners.
Energizer decided to implement GS1 Australia’s global data synchronization service, GS1net in conjunction with the GS1 Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messaging standards. Energizer now has 575 live items on the GS1net data pool providing integrity of item and price data, enabling a fully automated ordering system.
To date, GS1net and EDI have together ensured 99% order accuracy for Coles and 90% for Metcash in addition to the numerous business efficiencies delivered for Energizer.
According to Lawrence Diamond, E-Commerce Manager, the GS1 solutions ensure that the company and their customers are always on the same page.
