CONSULTING firm GRA proudly sponsored Monash University and Michigan State University's 2006 Supply Chain & Logistics Management Executive Development Program, which attracted participants from interstate and overseas.
Michigan State University's Logistics Executive Management Development Seminar is considered world-leading.
Founding director Dr Donald Bowersox was actively involved in the 2006 Monash University forum, the only one of its kind in Australia.
In addition to academic presentations, world class practitioners offered insight into their own business operations and how they solved supply chain management problems. The forum provided a valuable business opportunity to network.
Participants also formed teams to apply their skills to LOGA, a simulation game where players determine marketing and supply chain strategies for a fictitious company.
One participant said that the game was "fantastic" and that results were a "remarkably accurate reflection" of actions taken.
"This program is invaluable for the development of the next generation of Australian supply chain leaders," said GRA partner Carter McNabb.
