A new online discussion forum, Australian Supply Chain Forum has been launched to support supply chain and logistic professionals from Australia and New Zealand.
The intention of the forum is to be a neutral place to share information and knowledge that will help individuals with professional development. Supply chain consulting firm GRA initiated the forum and will continue to support it into the future.
GRA’s partner, Carter McNabb said, “We know that many supply chain and logistics professionals have a need to communicate with one another beyond the boundaries of their own organisation and individual business network, however, until the launch of the Australian Supply Chain Forum there has not been a place where they can do this easily.”
“GRA has always supported supply chain education, training and information sharing, and we hope that the forum provides members with an opportunity to expand their knowledge and learn from one another in a non-judgemental environment. It also provides a tremendous opportunity to expand social and business networks with like minded individuals.”
“The forum will be a great way for people to meet, as well as to keep in touch.”
The forum offers areas for general discussion, job advertisements, blogs, events, specialist groups that members may initiate and control, videos, live chat, news feeds and photographs. Members have their own page that the can tailor where they can upload photographs and information about themselves. Other members may write on their ‘walls’, in a similar way to Facebook.
Membership is entirely free, and is extended to those living and working in Australia and New Zealand, or those wishing to work with companies in the region.
