With temperatures set to rise higher than normal across much of Australia, HVAC/R systems (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems) will potentially carry greater loads than before.

GO Distribution’s solution, Super Seal Total can help avoid expensive overhauls or replacement of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems (HVAC/R) used in the food and beverage, hospitality and primary processing industries (including meat, fruit and vegetables) through to large-scale shops, shopping centres, offices, factories as well as infrastructure and processing plants.
A widely proven innovation from the international Cliplight Manufacturing Company, Super Seal Total combines three proven products that help prevent the formation of refrigerant leaks, which drain energy and pollute the environment.
Additionally, this HVAC/R preventative maintenance system is suitable for existing micro leak repairs and larger leak detection simultaneously.
Super Seal Total’s three products include:
- Cliplight’s new DRY R formulation developed to eliminate the age-old issue of moisture acid and the formation of sludge in commercial, industrial and residential heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- The proven Super Seal sealant used throughout Australasia and internationally to permanently repair leaks up to 300 microns in evaporators, condensers and pipelines
- Ultra-violet tracer dye to mark any leak that is too large for Super Seal to seal, making it simple to detect with standard UV fluorescing lights
“The combination of these three products delivers a four-in-one benefit of eliminating moisture, preventing the formation of acid, sealing micro leaks and helping find larger leaks,” says GO Distribution Managing Director Gary Oborne.
How the system works
Dry R creates a dry, stable environment that extends the performance and lifespan of both the Ultra Violet dyes and the Super Seal sealants, which can remain active in the system for up to seven years or longer.
Dry R works with the HVAC/R system’s liquid line dryer and extends its ability to remove moisture from the system. With moisture eliminated, no new acid can form.
This stable environment in turn extends the lifespan of Super Seal, a low viscosity, particle-free liquid formulated to circulate with the oil and refrigerant throughout the system until it encounters a leak.
When the sealant leaks out of the exit hole, it reacts with moisture in the atmosphere to form a low tensile crystalline structure that provides a permanent seal for leaks up to 300 microns.
Any leaks that are too large for the sealant to repair are marked by the UV tracer dye for easy detection with a UV fluorescing light.
DRY R complements the existing range of HVAC/R sealants, which have become extremely popular throughout the refrigeration industry.
