THE man behind the success of a sealant proven to save major repair and downtime bills for owners and operators of HVAC and refrigeration equipment will introduce the product to Australasian industry next month.
Paul Appler, of Cliplight Manufacturing Company, will conduct daily 2pm lectures on the benefits of the Super Seal sealant at the ARBS Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services exhibition at Darling Harbour in Sydney from August 14-16.
Mr Appler will join Gary Oborne, of GO Distribution , the Australasian and South Asian distributor of the product, on Stand 423 at ARBS, demonstrating how the sealant can help remove the need for expensive fault-chasing and repairs to commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Proven in Australian and international applications ranging from the Ford Motor Company to ice cream and snack food manufacturer Dairy Queen, Super Seal is formulated to permanently repair leaks in evaporators, condensers and pipelines that impair plant efficiency and could necessitate overhaul, replacement and interruptions to production or service.
Super Seal works by sealing refrigerant leaks from the inside out - reacting with the moisture in ambient air after being carried in solution with oil and refrigerant to the point where the leaks exits.
Super Seal is a low viscosity liquid that contains no solid particles. The process of repair takes place when the refrigerant with a percentage of oil and sealant begins to exit the AC/R system.
As the refrigerant exits, it begins to lower the ambient air temperature down to the dew point where micro droplets of water are deposited around the perimeter of the leak area.
When the sealant comes in contact with the droplets of water it begins to form a permanent low tensile crystalline structure, which creates a barrier, preventing the refrigerant from escaping.
Super Seal is available in three varieties: for systems from 0.7kW to 5.3kW; 5.3kW to 17.6kW; and 17.6kW plus.
