FUJI Xerox has launched the 495 Digital Web Duplex Printer, a continuous form printing system for mission-critical print operations that has a maximum print-speed of 460 (A4) pages per minute with benchmark print quality.
Printing at 600dpi and using non-contact flash fusing, the FX495 Digital Web Duplex Printer achieves extremely high print quality on a range of substrates that encompass plastic, RFID transponder, plastic cards, coated stock and labels as well as standard paper stocks used in transactional promotional print work.
The strength of the 495 Digital Web Duplex Printer lies with the product’s flash fusing technology.
Flash fusing is a departure from traditional heat-based toner fusion method, which can cause paper shrinkage and diminishment of quality.
The Fuji Xerox flash fusing technology secures the image with high-intensity flash lamps and no warm-up time is required.
As the toner is fixed without any paper contact, a wide variety of substrates can be printed without the paper surface curvatures and thickness affecting the output.
The use of a two-drum imaging and development system in one device ensures the same high print speed is maintained when printing both sides of the paper while also providing superior registration.
The compact design also reduces the size to approximately 50% of normal duplex systems.
Application flexibility and print productivity are enhanced further as the FX495 can print simplex or duplex print jobs from its single print engine configuration.
