Fuchs Lubricants (Australasia) has opened a world class Regional Lubricant Laboratory and Technical Centre in Victoria, consolidating Australia’s position as the lubricant industry’s development hub in the Asia Pacific region.
The Fuchs Group is at the leading edge in formulation and application technology for all types of lubricants and functional fluids.
The opening ceremony, held at the new Laboratory and Technical Centre in Sunshine featured celebrity guests including V8 Supercar stars Jason Bright, Jason Bargwanna, Shane van Gisbergen, Alex Davison and Tim Slade, as well as former Australian Top Fuel Champion Phil Lamattina.
Speaking on the occasion, Wayne Hoiles, Managing Director of Fuchs Lubricants (Australasia) outlined the importance of the new laboratory for the Australasian region.
Emphasising their role as lubricant specialists, Mr Hoiles said that the new laboratory will ensure the continued development of new products for the Australasian market while also providing an increased level of technical support to their customers.
The announcement was welcome news for many organisations in the Australasian region that rely on Fuchs lubricants and oils. The completely refurbished centre will host some of the world’s most advanced equipment, and provide a well needed boost to local and regional lubricant development and sales.
Dr Georg Lingg, Fuchs Petrolub AG Executive Board Member, responsible for the Asia Pacific and Africa regions explained how the new laboratory was a major milestone in the global Fuchs research and development strategy for the future.
He added that the new laboratory would be responsible for providing technical support to the region, and form part of the global research and development as well as the technical support program.
The opening of the new laboratory and technical centre affirms Fuchs’ commitment to research and development, and sets the standard in lubricant product development in Australia.
