ONE of Australia's bulk handling mainstays -- Fresco Systems Australasia -- will have a major presence at BULKEX, with several working systems on show.

The company, which designs, manufactures and installs bulk materials handling equipment and systems, will exhibit systems including bulk bag unloaders, bulk bag filler, rotary sifter, flexible conveyors, mobile conveyor, metering screw feeder, and pneumatic conveying.

In terms of bulk bag unloading equipment, Fresco will profile its broad range of forklift load and electric hoist and trolley load equipment, catering for bulk bags ranging up to 2000kg and all budgets.

All the company's designs are adaptable to hazardous and dust zone applications. Additional features include a bag massager, spout clamp, dust collector and bag closing device.

Demanding attention will be Fresco's new and innovative bulk bag filler. These are designed to provide the highest accuracy and ergonomics while being robust enough to stand up to the harshest of environments.

Bulk bags up to 2000mm high and weighing 2000kg can be filled at up to 25units and hour. The simple double wound mechanism allows for quick and simple bag height adjustment by the operator to suit any bag size.

Bags are loaded from the front without the operator stretching or reaching, allowing for option feed and take out conveyors. A unique spout clamp ensures dust tight filling.

As Fresco's stand will make clear, the company's offerings range from single items through to turnkey projects, all fully engineered and manufactured in house by qualified personnel.

Ken Hetherington, general manager, Fresco Systems Australasia, summed up the company's capabilities, which will be displayed at BULKEX.

"We have many technological and supply agreements worldwide, ensuring access to the latest proven technology," he explained.

"This, combined with our own flexible and broad-based manufacturing capabilities in Australia and New Zealand assure timely delivery and installation of ruggedly constructed, quality-assured products to the Australasian market.

"Our goal is to help you reduce costs, improve operations, and increase quality. We approach each situation with a sincere attempt to understand unique customer needs and develop innovative solutions.

"Our objective at BULKEX will be to let visitors experience firsthand why we are one of the largest suppliers in the Australasian market, with customers as far afield as the US and South Africa.

“Our stand will be attended by a large team of our experienced sales engineers demonstrating equipment, distributing brochures and fielding questions."

BULKEX 2006 Bulk Materials Handling Exhibition will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from September 25-27.
