THE Fluke 1550 MegOhmMeter, the latest in Fluke's line of electrical test tools, combines insulation resistance testing up to 5000V with measurement storage and PC interface software making it ideal for installation testing, preventive maintenance, and commissioning.
The 1550 is designed for the most demanding testing jobs and includes everything technicians need - from accessories to software.
With the 1550, technicians can complete a large set of tests quickly with a single tool. The digital megohmmeter is capable of testing switchgear, motors, generators, and cables at up to 5000V dc and can be used for a wide range of tests - from simple spot checks to timed tests and breakdown tests.
The Fluke 1550 MegOhmMeter provides insulation resistance testing with four output voltages: 500V, 1000V, 2500V, 5000V. Its live voltage indicator alerts the user that voltage is present and gives the voltage reading up to 600V ac or dc.
The 1550 includes features expected on higher-end testers, including a ramp function (0-5000V dc) for breakdown testing, a timer for dielectric absorption, plus the ability to conduct current leakage tests and cable or insulation capacitance tests.
Its 99 memory locations store all measurement parameters, which can then be downloaded to a Windows-based computer using the Quicklink 1550 software and optical interface cable that come with the meter.
The last-reading memory display is ideal for insulation resistance and lo-ohms. The Fluke 1550 is powered by a high-capacity, rechargeable, 12V battery that provides enough energy for up to 2,500 tests. Fluke Australia 02 8850 3333.
