Hart Scientific, a division of Fluke Australia, the global leader in handheld electronic test and measurement technology, has launched its new 1620A DewK thermo-hygrometer.
Designed to facilitate the electronic management of environmental temperature and humidity data, the DewK is specifically intended for environmental monitoring in critical locations such as calibration and research laboratories, pharmaceutical and chemical storage areas, and medical environments.
The DewK accepts inputs from up to two sensors, which may be mounted directly on the unit or remotely (up to 30 metres away). Each sensor contains its own calibration data, which prevents down time during calibration service.
Additional features include:
On-board memory that holds up to 400,000 time and date-stamped readings
Visual and audio alarms for numerous alarm or fault conditions
Detachable probes containing their own calibration data for easy recalibrations
Software logs sent in real-time by Ethernet or wireless technology
Graphical and statistical data that can be stored on PC Card
Fluke Australia has worked hard to provide a measurement tool that is designed specifically for laboratories and the growing number of manufacturing companies that rely on precise temperature controls for manufacturing processes.
The optional Hart Scientific LogWare III software available with the 1620A DewK, also lets the user simultaneously monitor an unlimited number of instruments, and send emails containing statistical and graphical analysis to PDAs, pagers and mobile phones.
