Fluke Australia has released its 345 Power Quality Clamp Meter. The Fluke 345 Power Quality Clamp Meter is designed for troubleshooting power quality on switching loads including variable frequency drives, electronic lighting and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
The clamp meter lets technicians make simultaneous measurements of ac and dc current without breaking the circuit, so that any power quality problems are located quickly and with minimum disruption. The Fluke 345 can also perform with distorted waveforms present on modern electrical loads, meaning accuracy is maintained in noisy environments.
According to Fluke Australia, the Fluke 345 has been designed specifically for electrical technicians to provide quick, convenient troubleshooting. The logging mode can be used to capture measured values which can then be uploaded to a computer using the Power Log software.
This lets technicians view findings in graphical format, analyse the information, and generate reports. Additionally, an internal memory enables long-term logging for analysis of trends or intermittent problems.
Other features include:
- Three-phase power mode for making a quick check of current balance,
- Inrush mode for troubleshooting tripped circuit breakers,
- Dc ripple measurement capability to assess load effect.
