FLUKE has released a free firmware upgrade for its 430 series of power quality analysers. Version 1.10 allows users to expand their measurement capabilities and increase the speed of using the tool.

The upgrade includes programmable ratios for metering and high-voltage applications using secondary CTs and PTs. When coupled with the Fluke i5’s 5A current probes, users can verify revenue meters with a simple manual pulse count button.

The streamlined firmware enables quicker navigation and measurement through new shortcuts and an improved warning message system. Version 1.10 allows users to toggle quickly between phase-to-neutral and phase-to-phase readings, conduct faster trend analysis with vertical axis that scale automatically, and view setup screens in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian or Russian.

The upgrade is available at no charge at www.fluke.com/430upgrade. Once a meter is registered the user will be provided with step-by-step upgrade instructions. The upgrade takes only minutes and can be done on a personal computer.

The upgrade includes FlukeView Version 3.10 which is compatible with both the Fluke 434 and 43B power quality analysers.
