FLUKE Australia has announced the availability of LinkWare cable test management software, a free cable test data management and documentation program that integrates test results from Fluke Networks' DSP and OMNI Series cable testers with dedicated support for the new OptiFibre Certifying OTDR.
LinkWare simplifies cable test records management and reporting by allowing users to import, sort and store data from multiple copper and fibre testers into a single database.
LinkWare software manages copper and fibre test results with a single application so users can print customisable, graphical reports from multiple testers and multiple projects.
Contractors no longer need to patch together collections of mixed formats and results because LinkWare uses a common format that is compatible with cable management software (CMS) and labeling software programs.
This makes it easier to maintain a comprehensive cable management system while adhering to the revised TIA/EIA 606-A standard.
LinkWare also converts all existing test records created by ScanLink or CableManager software. LinkWare currently supports the OptiFibre Certifying OTDR and the DSP-4000 series and OMNIScanner series digital cable analysers.
Future releases will import and manage data saved by SimpliFibre, CertiFibre or PentaScanner testers.
Together with the new OptiFibre Certifying OTDR, LinkWare generates a single report that contains all the critical information installers need to certify that a fibre is properly installed and terminated.
An OptiFibre LinkWare report can include dual wavelength OTDR traces and event information, ChannelMap diagram, FibreInspector endface images, loss/length certification results and optical power measurements.
LinkWare can also emulate many of OptiFibre's OTDR analysis features for off-line analysis back in the office.
LinkWare Software is included with Fluke Networks OptiFibre Certifying OTDR, DSP, and OMNIScanner Series of cable testers and is available now as a free download from www.flukenetworks.com.
