Affordable data acquisition package
WAVETEK Meterman Test Tools, represented by Fluke Australia , has announced an affordable data acquisition option with the 38XR and the 38SW.
The data acquisition package comprises a 10,000-count, full-function digital multimeter (38XR) with companion Microsoft Windows-based data logging software and PC interface cabling(38SW).
The specially developed 38-SW software is simple to use, and logs, displays, and stores data from all 38XR measurement functions for later retrieval or further analysis. It can also export data for advanced analysis, charting, and reporting in Microsoft Excel(.
"The 38XR DMM and 38SW software combination provides a low cost, full-function data acquisition option for use in plant maintenance, HVAC, R&D, and field service applications," said David Mayhew, Wavetek Meterman account manager.
"The combination is also an effective and practical teaching tool offering both the educator and student easy-to-use, accurate data logging capability for a wide range of applications."
This DMM and software package is especially attractive when used in combination with a laptop computer as a portable data acquisition package.
The 38XR DMM has a full complement of basic and specialty measurements that can be logged including temperature, frequency, 4-20 mA control loop percent, and duty cycle.
True rms current draw and voltage supply can also be logged for an accurate, basic snapshot of unattended equipment operation.
