Flexilift Australia 's appointment to exclusively distribute Hyundai forklifts throughout Australia has attracted industry professionals.
Predominantly due to Flexilift’s focus on technical service and ongoing vehicle maintenance, long-standing Crown Equipment employee Mr Les Green has joined the company as Operations/Service Manager.
“I spent 33 years at Crown Equipment in various positions and at this stage my career never really contemplated moving from the company,” said Mr Green.
“But seeing the foundation on which Flexilift is based - thorough service and maintenance - enticed me to move from a long-standing giant to this up-and-coming competitor which is so respected by Hyundai it signed an exclusive agreement.
“I am very impressed by the technical and quality aspects of the setup at Flexilift Australia, which is hardly surprising because the Managing Director, Stephen Ritchie, also has an extensive background in technical and field operations of forklifts.
"After 33 years, no one thought I would ever leave Crown - a company which was always good to me.
“But to step into a new environment where my extensive technical knowledge fits seamlessly into the requirements of an ambitious business undergoing national expansion presented itself as the ideal challenge to my capabilities."
Mr Green began at Crown Equipment in 1976 as a Road Serviceman, the 12th service van on the road. In 1980, he was promoted into the Road Service Office as a Service Supervisor, managing up to 40 staff and 35 service vans.
In 1986 he moved into the customer service are of the business looking after many of Crown’s major account customers including Coles Myer, K Mart, Franklins supermarket chain, IGA, Safeway, Bridgestone, Bonlac Foods, Kraft Foods, Ford and many more, dealing mainly with onsite Service Manager’s.
