Local Dandenong company Flexilift Australia , a well-known industrial supplier of forklifts for the past 15 years is hoping to ride out the global financial crisis with a simple philosophy: putting the ‘service’ back into customer service.
As a supplier of high quality new and second hand forklifts such as hand pallet forklift trucks, reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, Flexilift narrow aisle articulated trucks (“flagship of the Company”) and electric, gas, diesel, petrol and hydrostatically powered truck mounted forklifts, Flexilift has seen many of its competitors talk about service, but not really deliver on the promises.
According to John Fisher, the company’s recently appointed National Business Development Manager, “Everyone talks about putting the customer first, but in reality, not many forklift companies actually have a 24 x 7 service philosophy like we do.”
“Our founder and managing director, Steve Ritchie, eats, sleeps and breathes forklifts and on top of that, he is perhaps one of the only directors of any industrial company that I know who personally goes out and does troubleshooting at the customer’s premises—day or night; weekday or weekend.”
“There are not many managing directors in this industry that would even dream of doing something like that”, says Mr. Fisher, adding that, “ But then again, making sure our customers are treated with the respect and gravitas they deserve is part and parcel of how we do business.”
“After all, the servicing of any machinery, whether it be a forklift or a computer or even a car is paramount to ensuring it and the company that owns it can work continuously, efficiently as well as effectively.”
And with over 70 models of Hyundai Forklifts in production ranging from 1.5 ton up to 16 tons Mr. Fisher says that Flexilift can now also offer customers a much greater range of material handling equipment to suit almost any warehouse or materials handling application.
Furthermore, the company’s recent exciting achievement of taking on the National Hyundai Australian Agency, which will give Flexilift access to forklifts from one of the world’s largest and most dynamic manufacturing companies can only be good news for both the Dandenong area and Victorian industry as well.
As Mr. Fisher points out, “In a time of economic stagnation, Flexilift is expanding and growing and will continue to grow in the future, which means more work, more jobs and more money for both Dandenong and the Victorian manufacturing sector.”
