Flexicon Corporation (Australia)  presents a new range of bulk bag filling lines designed to automatically dispense pallets, fill bulk bags and accumulate filled bags for removal by forklift.

The pallet dispensers can hold up to 15 pallets each and are equipped with a powered roller conveyor that removes the bottom-most pallet from the stack, and positions it directly beneath the cantilevered fill head of a bulk bag filler.

An operator connects an empty bag to four actuated bag strap hooks, seals the bag spout using an inflatable collar, and presses a bag inflation button to initiate a seven-step automated filling sequence:

  • A conveyor is started to fill the bag at high rate
  • Feed rate is reduced to trickle speed as the target weight is approached
  • Conveyor is stopped once the target rate is achieved
  • Pallet is vibrated to stabilise the bag
  • Spout seal is deflated
  • Bag loops are released
  • Pallet with newly filled bag is released to roll to the farthest of three downstream conveyor positions

The filler in the bulk bag filling lines is equipped with a powered fill head height adjustment that accommodates all popular bag sizes and a feed chute vent for dust-free air displacement during filling. An optional SWING-DOWN fill head lowers and pivots to a vertical position, allowing operators to connect empty bags at floor level at high rates.

The bulk bag fillers are offered with the company's own mechanical or pneumatic material delivery system integrated with the user's upstream process equipment or other material source. All system components are constructed to industrial, food, dairy and pharmaceutical standards.

In addition to the bulk bag filling lines, Flexicon also manufactures bulk bag unloaders, bulk bag conditioners, bag dump stations, drum/ box/ container tippers, palletisers, weigh batching and blending systems as well as engineered plant-wide bulk handling systems with automated controls.
