FLEXLINK has released a stainless steel conveyor system aimed primarily at providing easier automation for the food and dairy industries.
The new system, recently released by FlexLink Systems at the 'Interpack' exhibition in Germany, is a trade-marked conveyor system based on existing FlexLink chain design.
The open design of the conveyor provides self-draining surfaces with the return chain protected from any debris from above.
The high-speed conveyor system, which operates at approximately 100 metres a minute, is modular in design making it easier to assemble and reconfigure, thus reducing the inflexibility of traditional stainless steel conveyor systems.
The system is enhanced by stainless steel support wheel bends as well as plain bends, FlexLink standard guide rail systems, and the option of an integrated wash station.
The shape of the FlexLink chain lowers the friction towards packages and hence lubrication is not required in most situations.
The system is suitable for food and dairy product manufacturers especially where ISO hygiene standards are demanded.
Operator safety features include finger protection under straight beam, conveyor returned chain, and safe in-feed to wheel bends and drive ends.
The system can be supplied as a complete turnkey solution tailored to individual application specifications or as separate modules.
