Firetail DAQ release two 24-bit multifunction USB Data Acquisition modules

The multifunction USB Data Acquisition module

The USB-2416 and USB-2416-4AO Data Acquisition modules are multiplexed 24-bit measurement and control modules that provide 16 differential or 32 single-ended analogue inputs with a 1 kS/s aggregate throughput.

The modules offer nine software-selectable analogue input ranges between plus/minus 20V and plus/minus 0.078V which can be configured for up to 16 thermocouples, and when in Thermocouple mode, include a built-in cold-junction compensation and an open thermocouple detection.

In addition to the analogue inputs, the modules include an 8-bit digital I/O (DIO) and two 32-bit counters. The USB-2416-4AO module adds four 16-bit analogue outputs. All inputs and outputs can be accessed easily by labelled screw terminal strips.

The USB-2416 and USB-2416-4AO Data Acquisition modules are supplied with a 5Volt 2Amp regulated power supply, USB cable and a comprehensive suite of software such as Tracer DAQ, the full featured logging, viewing and analysis application and programming libraries and drivers for Windows based languages.

The high resolution configurable inputs with multiple input ranges combined with the DIO and counters make these modules the ideal general purpose multifunction USB-DAQ modules with a good price advantage.
