The Firecat domestic sprinkler systems, available from Firecat Home Fire Sprinkler Systems (SA ), have been designed to operate through connection to households existing water supply.
These fire suppression systems are connected to a dedicated fire fighting water supply loop inside the roof space which allows water to extinguish a fire as a direct response to fire heat.
The Firecat domestic sprinkler systems incorporate a priority valve system linked to the existing water supply and therefore do not require their own connection to water mains. The systems are connected on the residence side of the water meter which is then linked to a water control meter, electronic control box and the loop and sprinkler fittings.
The concealed sprinkler heads are controlled by a heat sensitive element that will burst when temperatures of a room reach approximately 58° to 68° degrees centigrade.
