Fibre King has been awarded the International Standards Organisation (ISO) 9001 certification by QAS International.
The Australian packaging machinery designer and manufacturer recently underwent assessment and review of quality management systems at its head office in Brisbane as part of the ISO 9001 certification process.
Fibre King is a major Australian packaging machinery manufacturer producing case packers, palletisers, crates and meat handling equipment for the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, meat, fresh produce as well as household and personal care industries.
According to Earle Roberts, CEO of Fibre King, the company’s internal processes and systems were extremely well developed thanks to their 85-year engineering history, ensuring that the ISO 9001 compliance process was not difficult.
He adds that the ISO 9001 certification gives their clients a visible and recognisable acknowledgement of Fibre King’s commitment to deliver high quality products.
ISO 9001 sets the standard for quality management systems currently being employed by almost 900,000 organisations across 170 countries worldwide.
Fibre King has recently expanded its export business to include North and South America as well as Asia, New Zealand and Europe.
Suren Moodley, Fibre King Operations Manager says that some of their major clients have a strong preference for ISO certified suppliers.
It was important for Fibre King to gain the accreditation considering their status as a preferred supplier to many large corporations globally.
Fibre King is one of the first recipients of an ISO certification in the Australian packaging machinery manufacturing industry.
