The SDE 1 is a complete, cost-effective kit for pressure measurement, pressure monitoring and pressure queries. In addition to monitoring the air mains connection, other important SDE 1 application sectors include monitoring a service unit, vacuum applications, leak tests and testing and controlling a pre-defined working pressure.

The SDE1 is extremely simple to install. It takes about 10% of the time required for conventional switches. Commissioning times are also drastically reduced as a result of the SDE1's unique "learning mode", particularly as the display clearly shows intuitive symbols.
In addition to the many combination options, the switching behaviour of the digital outputs can be defined. In the case of the threshold value signal, an electrical output signal is set once the specified switching point has been reached.
In the case of the window comparator signal, the output signal is only set or reset within a specified pressure range.
The pressure sensor switching points can also be defined via the double teach-in system. They are specified when the pressure is applied. Manual input via the display is also available.
To protect the plant and workforce, a code can be used to secure the SDE 1 against unauthorised changes.
