FESTO has released a standard gripper, a precision parallel gripper and a micro-gripper.
The HG standard gripper is available as a parallel, angle, radial or three-point gripper. All four types are available in sizes from 6mm-50mm and offers a variety of gripping forces and motion types.
The HGPP precision gripper has a long, backlash-free guide bearing of its gripper jaw in a stable aluminium housing. This allows a repetition accuracy of under 0.02mm and much greater torques than can be achieved with plain bearing parallel grippers.
Stroke sensing is by means of Hall sensors. In order to detect one or two gripper jaw positions cost-effectively, Festo offers sensor retaining kits to mount inductive sensors. These kits can be ordered as an accessory and adapted at a later time. They are available in 10mm, 25mm and 32mm sizes.
The HGWM and HGPM micro-grippers are miniaturised and optimised for assembly. The miniaturised angle (HGWM) and parallel (HGPM) grippers have piston diameters of 8mm and 12mm. They are useful for gripping small workpieces in tight spaces.
Application-optimised mounting options ensure problem-free installation. Stroke-compensated fixing on gripper longitudinal axis is available, as is direct mounting (for the HGPM), mounting with male thread (for the HGWM) or cylindrical clamping flanges. The long-service life and a repetition accuracy of 0.02mm are additional benefits of the small, single-acting gripper.
All the gripper variants can offer additional benefits through integration in modules for handling and assembly. More than 400 components of the handling axis HMP, to the linear guide unit SLG, right through to the gripper, can be freely combined by means of defined interfaces.
