THE Clean Design valve terminal CDVI from Festo puts an end to expensive and complex compromises in the area of pneumatic cylinders.
The new design, and the use of corrosion-resistant materials, fully meet requirements for easy cleaning.
Tried and tested valve technology, combined with full encapsulation in highly durable plastic, is the recipe with which Festo brings the CDVI valve terminal closer to the terminal, accelerating pneumatics and reducing cleaning times to a minimum.
Sharp edges, dirt-catching corners and small radii are a thing of the past. More space between valves simplifies cleaning.
The CDVI even makes the control cabinet redundant. The use of suitable materials such as PP for the housing, stainless-steel screws and chemical-resistant PVC for seals on the multipin connector. The CDVI passes any test using cleaning agents from leading manufacturers.
A baseplate of anodised aluminum and seals of EPDM also contribute to this result. Taking a "shower" is not a problem as the CDVI is rated to IP65 and IP67.
The CDVI offers a clean solution to all food industry requirements.
Equipped and installed according to customers' requirements, 5/2-way, 5/2-way double pilot and 5/3-way valves, and 2 x 3/2-way valves using the spool-valve principle, are available.
Their modular design with basic blocks in a four-unit or eight-unit grid allows two-unit modules to be expanded up to 12-valve position. Just in case, optional midi or maxi formats are available in one valve terminal.
Two different supply pressures are also possible. And this applies to installation, too. The fully mounted factory-tested valve terminal facilitates installation, as does electrical connection with preinstalled ready-to-connect cable.
For optimal flowrate, the valve terminals are factory equipped with QS8 connectors on working lines and with matching QS12 connectors for the end plates. In the case of unilateral supply or internal control air, these are fitted with special easy-clean blanking plugs.
Festo offers a range of products to complement the Clean Design valve terminal CDVI. For example, the corrosion-protected, easy-clean Clean Design cylinder CDN.
Stainless steel connectors and flow-control valves and tubing approved for food-related applications round out the program for the food and packaging industry.
